Wow, At the Hand of Her Father is another great success for Chris Taylor. I have read twenty two of Chris Taylor’s books and I am still in love with her writing style and her way of describing social issues that affects everyone.
At the Hand of Her Father is book two of the new Chris Taylor series called Sydney Legal. Natalie Johnson thought all her worries are over after the judge made his discussion on the custody dispute between her and ex-husband Ian Johnson. However, this was not the case, and her life and her family were changed forever when Ian Johnson killed their daughter. The readers of At the Hand of Her Father will follow the court case of Ian Johnson. Also, the readers of At the Hand Of Her Father will follow the blossoming romance between Natalie Johnson and Blake Harton Junior her ex-husband lawyer.
I loved At the Hand of Her Father, however, the only problem I have with this book I finished it too quickly. I like the way Chris Taylor portrays her characters and intertwines characters from other books in the series, for example, Ben Fitzgerald. I learn by reading At the Hand of Her Father about court procedures and selecting jurors. Also, by reading At the Hand of Her Father it started me thinking about the consequences for everyone involved in a custody battle. I like the way Chris Taylor describe to the readers of At the Hand of Her Father that the outcome of the court case has no winners.
At the Hand of Her Father, the readers will need to have a box of tissues close to your chair. Also, readers of At the Hand of Her Father will learn about the condition called a dissociative state and the consequences of this mental illness on the suffer and the people around them. The readers of At the Hand of Her Father will love the ending of this book.
I recommend this book.

The Accidental Murderer is the first book in the new Sydney Legal Series by Chris Taylor (Author). I do not know about anyone else, but I always worry when an Author I enjoy starts a new series. However, after the first couple of pages, my fears was squashed. Wow, the Sydney Legal Series will be another great success for Chris Taylor (Author).
An Accidental Murderer is about young registered nurse called Zheng who gave an elderly patient Hydrogen Peroxide instead of cough medicine.
The reason Zheng gave the wrong medicine was that she was unable to read the label on the bottle. However, the Judge did not believe her and gave her five years in jail.
Zheng convention for manslaughter worried her lawyer Blake Harton who ask a colleague Ben Fitzgerald what could be done about the issue of nurses graduating without been able to read and write English.
An Accidental Murderer continues to follow Ben Fitzgerald investigation into the hospitals and the Richmond University Nursing School.
However, the case is not as straightforward has Blake and Ben thought, and with the added complication of Abby Brown joining the Sydney Legal Law Firm, Ben needs to keep his mind on the job. Abby Brown bought up memoirs that Ben Fitzgerald was trying to forget. Readers of An Accidental Murderer will be shocked with the conclusion of this book.
The readers of An Accidental Murderer will like the twist and turns with the case intertwine with the rekindle romance between Ben and Abby. Readers will like the way Chris Taylor (Author) portrayed the two main characters, Ben Fitzgerald and Abby Brown who knew each other when they were young teenagers with drugs and alcohol problems. An Accidental Murderer will show the readers that you can seek help and change your life after substance abuse. Amazing the way Chris Taylor (Author) smoothly combined the Sydney Harbour Hospital Series and the Sydney Legal Series together.
I recommend this book.

The Investigator is the second book in the Munro Family Series, and like all ten books in the Munro Family Series, I was unable to put the book down! You need to have a box of tissues next to you when you read this book.
Kate Collins lived in England due to her worries about her Mother came back to Watervale in New South Wales. Riley Munro ended up in Watervale due to a problem he had in Sydney.
Kate and Riley collided when Kate came to make a missing person report at the Watervale Police Station. Readers of The Investigator will go on a roller coaster ride with the twist and turns in the investigation into the disappearance of Kate’s Mother entwine with the bubbling romance between Kate and Riley. Readers of The Investigator will be surprised and shocked with the conclusion of this book.
I think it is wonderful that Chris Taylor weaves the Munro indigenous heritage by making the Munro twins Clayton and Riley look like one of their parents. Riley is tall, dark, handsome and Clayton “Profiler” is big, blonde and beautiful. I like the way Chris Taylor portrayed Riley Munro has an honest and supportive of others and his community, and especially the woman of his dreams is amazing. Also, I am impressed with Chris Taylor portrayal of a young girl who suffered from violence as a child and how this affected her.
Readers of The Investigator would learn about law enforcement corruption and how it can affect the law enforcement officers who are incidentally involved. Reading The Investigator, you will learn about domestic violence and the consequences for everyone who is involved. The Investigator also highlights some of the issues that Aboriginals have in the community. I recommend this book.
